Stay and PlaySupport local families during relaxed Stay and Play sessions by helping set up activities, welcoming parents, and encouraging children’s play. You’ll create a friendly, safe space where families can meet, connect, and enjoy time together.

English ClubSupport adults who are learning English by helping with conversation practice, simple activities, and creating a welcoming, encouraging environment. You don’t need teaching experience, just friendliness, and a willingness to help people build confidence.

Silver ExplorersJoin our sessions for older residents, helping run gentle activities, offering conversation, and creating a warm, sociable atmosphere. You’ll support people to stay active, connected, and engaged helping reduce isolation in the community.

Volunteer Saturday HelperJoin our monthly Volunteer Saturday sessions to help with gardening, maintenance, and seasonal tasks around the site. You’ll work alongside staff and other volunteers to keep the garden thriving and welcoming.

Climate & Nature (CAN)Join our Climate and Nature group to help shape local environmental projects, from biodiversity improvements to community climate action. You’ll work with others to plan activities, share ideas, and support practical projects.

Street ChampionConnect with neighbours on your street to share information, encourage involvement in local activities, and help build a stronger, more supportive community.

Playing OutSupport children’s outdoor play by helping steward safe, traffic‑free street sessions. You’ll encourage simple games, keep an eye on safety, and help families enjoy time outdoors together. This role helps children build confidence and friendships while strengthening community connections on local streets.

TrusteeJoin our board of Trustees to help guide the long‑term direction of Hillfields Community Garden. We especially welcome people interested in supporting co‑treasurer responsibilities.
