What Three Words Location: w3w.co/soft.summer.bank Hillfields Community Garden is in Hillfields Park and is open to the public 24/7 - we run regular groups and events here for families, children and adults. A welcoming and open space the garden gives local residents a space to grow, connect, and volunteer. We welcome all members of the community to the garden to share in growing edible plants, being in nature and promoting healthy eating through shared meals. The garden has been designed by the community for the community and it was built by the community too! Our community growing space provides positive activities for people of all ages to connect with nature. The Community Garden has two bug houses, a three-bay compost system and rain water harvesting, truck tyres for perennials, 8 raised beds, two at triple height for easy access, a rose garden and orchard. Groups and events are run from the Community Garden, which acts as a demonstration space for growing, cooking, nature connection, wellbeing and community activities. |
