Winter Lantern Parade
On 9th and 17th November we will come together to create lanterns in a workshop ready for our annual lantern parade on 23rd November. With live music, a precession through the streets we finish in the park in darkness for more music and hot chocolates. To volunteer at this event please join the events whatsapp. |

Wassail
Celebrate the ancient tradition of blessing the apple trees through song and merry-making at our Annual Wassail in January. We sing traditional Wassail songs and making a racket to scare away any spirits lurking in the trees! With CRAFT activities, CAKE and some cool costumes there is something for everyone to join in and celebrate this ancient tradition! Summer Event
Our Summer Event was our biggest community gathering yet! Everyone enjoyed the activities which were organised and delivered by our volunteers and lots of partner organisations. We launched our Community Climate Action Plan, which showcases actions and initiatives suggested by community members to help improve the local area and benefit the environment. Gospel Generation Community Choir filled our souls with their vibrant gospel tunes, full of beautiful harmonies, it was really magical. The littlies enjoyed dancing and shaking their instruments wit Music with Maya who rocked the stage with her enchanting guitar tunes! We finished off our performances with a set from The Brass Junkies a 5 piece brass band playing energetic pop and funk music woohoo! East Bristol Children's Centre, Friends of Hillfields Library book sale, UWE Repair Cafe, a Face Painter, a Health information stall from Sirona Care, Access Sports demonstrated sessions at the Pump Track, and there was also be a cake sale, tombola, raffle, home made elderflower drinks. |
